If Johnny would not had been on The Rifleman.....

Out of the following TV series, which series would you had picked Johnny to appear in?

"Keep your 'sites' on The Rifleman"
"The Rifleman hits the 'Mark' every week on abc."

I would say Fury because of Johnny's love for horse. I also thought about My Friend Flicka, but I thought Fury was best suited for Johnny.

What say you?

I feel like Fury too. The more outdoors seems to go with him. The show listed about that I have the hardest time picturing him in is Leave it to Beaver. I personally have never been a fan of the show (granted, since all of these shows are before my time, I don't have any nostalgia attached). I just never really got into sit-coms. Stuff like Leave it to Beaver or I Love Lucy just weren't up my ally.

My choice would be Fury or second Lassie. I think Johnnie would have been great with the dog. and I think the time frame best suited for Johnnie would have been Lassie or Fury not living in the 'burbs like Leave it to Beaver or Donna Reed. of all of Johnnys work I liked him best in the Westerns just like I liked Chuck best in the Westerns. Maybe because the characters of Lucas and Mark are burned in my brain but it seems like they were born to be with the horses.

Your right about Lassie, I think he would have like to do this also. He would have loved Lassie! That too would have been my second choice.

I went with My Friend Flicka. Johnny's love for strangers would have overflowed onto a beloved horse as well.

Mark did enjoy meeting stranger. He love hear what all they had to tell. I bet when Mark got older he traveled some.

I'd like to think he did. :happycowboy:
