For me....Mail Order Groom. he carried the episode. great actor. usually was the bad guy, would have liked to have seen him as the good guy once. did he ever play a lead role or the good guy??

I'm not sure wildwest but he did have a rare romantic lead in the 1946 horror film The Brute Man (the title character was played by Rondo Hatton).

Anybody remember him in The Rough Riders?

I would have to say Heller! Great performance when Bechtol begs for his life. A job well done!

I guess I would flip a coin..
Vantine.... or Jupiter....
Two very different characters... played equally as well.
One was a very patient, big, lug of a guy, the other, a bad a$$ good for nuthin' killer.
(and I always thought he looked like he had slimmed down some
from earlier roles, as Vantine)

I have a page of bloopers from Lou Mallory and Which way'd they go? and you can plainly see that they had stuffed his belly. There is also a picture from Gun Shy when he played Vantine.
