I want to sincerely apologize to all forum members, whom I have upset with the conflict that was between Zanza and myself over the past two days. I intend to cease arguing with her, because it not only upsets me, it upsets Cowgirl, and I am sure it is upsetting to other members, as well, and I will NOT continue to be a party to it.

Zanza, this apology is for you, too. I am sorry, and I hope we can get past our differences and move on.

Judy

I want to thank both of you for settling this on your own. And a special thank you to you Judy for the apology. That made everything so much easier.

What a great group we have here and it will only get better!

Thank you all for what you do here at the ranch!

Thanks! Cowgirl made it for me. In this context a cougar is meaningful to me because of the episode The Conflict. Remember how poor Luke had a total meltdown over missing the cougar? I, personally, would not have put the horses under trees if I was out on a cougar hunt, and I would not sit in the shade either. I live in southern California and there was a hiker who was killed by a cougar. She went under some trees without checking first and that was that. And one time, my son and me were in the mountains and a cougar trailed him back from the bathroom. He was as white as a sheet when he came in and we went to look at the tracks. I still get flutters thinking about those pawprints superimposed on my boy's footprints.

So I could really sympathize with Luke in this one. He had always been able to use his rifle to protect Mark. He couldn't have been more upset if his hands had dropped off, he really thought he couldn't keep his boy safe anymore. Well, he pulled himself together, but that was a hard test for him. And it was really good storytelling. Luke was never portrayed as a perfect person, although there were times when others got scornful about his high ideals. He was always portrayed as a real person, a good man who was just as fallible as the next man and at times sorely tried to keep himself up to the image of himself.

as one Ranchhand, I would like to say the posts I just read were mature and sincere. we can all get our 'feathers ruffled' sometimes. I hope you both feel welcome at the Ranch and continue to share and participate in the Trivia and Games. This is a fantastic group of people who share the same love of Rifleman and are truly concerned for each other.

Well..... shut the barn door and let's all head to the Mallory House for some pie and that 'new fangled stuff....ice cream'!! Mark has his guitar and is going to sing for us

Judy, I got the picture off of the internet and cleaned it up and resized it.

If anyone is interested in me putting in an avatar for them, please let me know, I'd be glad to do it for you, any time!

Well, if Mark promises to sing Greensleeves for us, then I'll be there is a heartbeat!!! :yipeedance:

Here he is: https://tinyurl.com/y9z3r94q

The version of Greensleeves that Johnny Crawford sang in the last episode of The Rifleman, is the best of all the versions I have ever heard. His voice was absolutely perfect for that song.

Knowing that "Greensleeves" is a love ballad, makes the scene of Tony with a faraway look in his eyes so heartbreaking. Is that look of longing because he is remembering a lost love, or is it because he is remembering his son who used to play Greensleeves for him. Whichever it is, that look just sends shivers down my back!!!

You did a wonderful job of cleaning it up and resizing it. I like it! :happycowboy:

I also like my avatar: I think the two people are Lucas and Mark riding home in the moonlight.

I like your avatar also. It too reminds me of Lucas & Mark. Such a peaceful ride together.

I opened all my unread posts in different tabs. I already replied on the thread of the Schoolmaster kinda about names, before I saw this. (Oops) Anyway, not trying to open anything back up and feel free to ignore that reply if you want! And I agree with wildwest. A few feathers ruffled, but all in a very mature manner. :happycowboy:
