I'm happy to announce a new item at the Johnny Crawford Legacy fundraising Shop. We're offering a set of four 4x6 inch postcards, featuring images of Johnny as Mark McCain as well as an early western portrait and Johnny with Two Bits. The cost is just $5 which includes shipping.

You'll find the postcards to order at the bottom of the first page of our Shop: https://johnnycrawfordlegacy.com/shop/

Thank you! We had a hard time choosing the photos because we have so many good ones to choose from. We decided to stick to western ones for this set, and hopefully they'll prove popular enough to add another set with more variety and something more recent from the orchestra days.

Was Two Bits Johnny’s personal horse or was s/he something like a “studio” horse?

@morgan Two Bits was Johnny's own horse, and he trained him with tips and suggestions from the wranglers on The Rifleman. Two Bits appears in the movie Indian Paint, a family production with father Robert Snr, brother Bobby, and brother-in-law Pat Hogan all involved.

Thanks! I’ve watched Indian Paint, but I didn’t know Johnny’s own horse was in it! I also love how Bluewindfarm (I’m assuming purposefully) worked Two Bits into her stories about the McCains.
