Lucas worries Mark has smashed his fingers with a hammer when Mark is hanging up wanted posters.

Charlie takes the staple gun away from Jake after Jake almost staples his shoe to his foot and then actually staples his fingers together.

Dana, I would like to go off topic here and see if you can guess what the following pictures have in common. I know the two shows have things in common, but I'm talking about just the pictures:

Thanks, Judy! Charlie, Christie, and Alan all have a striped coffee cup.

You're welcome, and you are absolutely right.

Charlie always drank from the stripped cup with the black ring around the top. Christie and Alan both have a stripped cup with a blue ring going around the top, and that particular cup is shown in all three pictures.

Two and a Half Men premiered on September 22, 2003.
Mom premiered on September 23, 2013.

Isn't it odd that these two shows premiered 10 years, plus 1 day, apart and they couldn't come up with different coffee cups?

My guess is so much money goes to the actors' salaries, the producers have to be somewhat conservative on props.

Good point. I think your guess may be right on.

Neither Lucas not Alan spank their respective sons. However, both Mark and Jake worry about getting in trouble once that last button has been pushed.

Well, Lucas didn't spank Mark on screen, but I think Mark was telling the truth in the episode titled, The Boarding House, when he stated, "Pa had to take a belt to my britches 'fore I understood, ..."

Alan Harper was a poor excuse for a father. Charlie gave Jake a lot more parental advice than Alan ever did.
