Gee whiz, I've had this ready to post on the 30th but forgot. Please don't shoot me. :gunfightercowboy2:

This is a copy of the original Script, The Sharpshooter.

I'm not sure how many of you have seen this before, but for those of you who haven't..... ENJOY!

This link will be available until the end of the month, 10/30/17. If anyone wishes to view this after this date you will need to get with .

This is great. Is this your persohal copy? I loved seeing the changes....

changing the name to Lucas from John
Lucas was changed from a heavy set guy to lean (thats our Lucas)
described Lucas as Indian quiet....had not heard that before but it sure fits Lucas
Mark was 12 in this script
changing Lucas name from Dad to Pa
and the saddlebags were referred to as....possibilities?? interesting
the end does not say Lucas picks Mark up
it would have been nice if they had done the last scene.....where they lassoed the sign and Mark pulled it down
and did I read that the SONG came first? very interesting

its interesting looking at scripts when you realize that actors embellish on the script with gestures etc. and watching the first episode, even then how comfortable Chuck and Johnny were with each other and their roles

thanks for sharing!!

I do have this scene, it is on the original Sharpshooter from Zane Grey Theatre.

The music you hear is not The Rifleman Theme.

AWESOME ~ Thanks CowGirl :happycowboy:

I absolutely luv Chuck and Johnny's introduction to the show! Chuck was so handsome and Mark was just too cute. 🙂

I always look at "The Shooting Match" & "The SharpShooter" back to back.

It would be really nice if all the Ranch Hands posted just to say "Hello" for the 60th Anniversary of The Rifleman. Where y'all at? 😆

Have you seen the promo clip of The Rifleman that David Niven did with Lucas McCain?

Arnold Laven & I were chatting about The Rifleman promos. I sent him what I had. He asked me if I had the promo where, I'm not sure who introduces this, but they say...... "Welcome to The McCain Ranch". He thought I had that one because of the being in the title of my ranch / website.

I have deleted the script from The Sharpshooter.

If at some point you would like to see this later, please let me know and I will load it again.
